Dear Not so Little Sister…

Dear Alani,

Alanjiiiiiii… Alanjiggly… (continuous list of crazy names I made up) You are so grown up!! Who knew you were going to be towering over me. It’s crazy to think you’re graduating high school this year and going off to college in the fall. We have come a long way my friend… I remember when we were just little kids playing mermaids in the neighborhood pool..or the time we were fighting and I slapped you with the Swiffer Wet Jet mop pad…whoops.. sorry about that… boy does time fly. You’ve grown into such a wonderful young adult. You’re smart, kind, and very loved. I admire your sense of empathy for others, and the motivation you have to get something done.

As your older sister, I am always here if you ever need anything at any time of the day.  I hope that as we continue to grow we only grow closer as sisters. One day we will be able to look back at all the memories we’ve made together as sisters. And then when we have kids they’ll be the bestest of friends..technically cousins but you know what I mean.

When you reach college, you’ll begin to face challenges and come across new experiences. The best advice I can give is that you should go out and take chances but at the same time stay sane and make sure you do your homework first hahah:) Don’t be afraid to make new friends or worry about getting home sick. I’m only a phone call away. And I’ll be sure to come visit when I can.

I know we don’t say it as much as we should, but I love you sissy!!! I’m so grateful I have such a great sis like you!

Love your dude,

Daquinda
